In Plants vs. Zombies (2025), the peaceful suburb of Neighborville wakes up to a very strange morning: the ground shakes, strange moans echo down the street, and the flowerbeds seem… nervous.
Enter Dave “Crazy Dave” Blazingham (Jack Black), a quirky inventor who’s been warning the town for years that a zombie invasion was coming. No one believed him — until now.
When a mysterious cosmic meteor crashes into Neighborville’s botanical lab, the plants mutate into sentient defenders with personalities as wild as their powers. And just in time — because Dr. Edgar Zomboss (Ken Jeong), an egomaniacal undead scientist, unleashes an army of zombies to abduct brains and take over the surface world.
To stop the apocalypse, a mismatched team must come together:
Sunflower (Zendaya) – the hopeful healer who keeps everyone alive
Peashooter (Awkwafina) – energetic, sarcastic, and trigger-happy
Bonk Choy – a martial-arts plant with fists faster than light
Cactus – a sharpshooter with a desert attitude
Neighborville hero Max Green (Ryan Reynolds) – the only human brave (or crazy) enough to fight beside the plants
Together, they’ll defend backyards, rooftops, and the entire town — one lawn at a time.
